Description:

COMPANY BACKGROUND

Superior Information Services was started in 1990 as an offshoot of Charles Jones, Inc., which has been providing property searches to New Jersey attorneys and title companies since 1911. They are a source of both local and national public record data. They devote much time and resources locating, retrieving and making available public records of all types.

ADOPTING NEW TECHNOLOGY

SearchTec, always a local leader in adopting new technology, has been working on co-development with Superior Information Services in the integration of obtaining judgments. The technology being used is termed “web services”. This technology is so new that its standards continue to evolve at a rapid rate.

Web Services are the latest tool for integration of software between businesses "across the firewall". Unlike previous component integration frameworks, web services build upon an existing set of communications protocols that have been spectacularly successful, the Web,and attempt to use it for component-based computing. Web Services extend the usage of the Web to any software application, not just a web browser. This is why it is sometimes called the "browserless web".

HOW IT WORKS

SearchTec will use these web services with Superior through shipping an XML-formatted transaction from one company’s web site to the other company’s web site. This will then instantly return the results in another XML-formated string of text.

SearchTec recognizes that the success of this integration is due largely to its developers and have paved the way for more integrations like this to follow.
