FLOOD DETERMINATIONS from SearchTec are provided from sources with current FEMA information: Community names, panel suffixes, flood zones and map revision dates.
FLOOD WATCH is Search Tec’s
monitoring system. We automatically monitor the property for the life of the loan. All orders that are flagged as
requiring monitoring are filed into the WATCH file
and indexed by Flood Map number. When FEMA issues a revision (including Letters of Map Amendment or Revision which many change the structure's insurance requirements), SearchTec will update the Lender on any loans affected by the revision. The new map is logged into the system and notification is sent out to the customers showing the properties within the flood panel. SearchTec will provide new flood determinations for any of these properties at the Lender's request. If the loan has been assigned to another party, we will send the new form directly to the new Lender.
